The question that you ask is hard to give a short answer..

If you would like to live in Colombia your boyfriend needs to get a job there, study there or go as a tourist there. As a tourist he can go for up to 4 months. As a student I guess as long as he is studying and as well for work.

If you would like to live in Denmark it is harder! Since summer 2002 the rules have changed here and it is now very hard to come to Denmark to live - even if you were married!

As I see the options you can come to Denmark as a tourist up to 3 months. They might demand a bank-garantee but it is not that likely. Your boyfriend need to make an invitation and state that he will take care of you during your visit.

Another option is to come to Denmark to study. Then you will need a studen visa and ofcourse an acceptance to a university here in Denmark. That could be anything from 2 to 36 months or even more. You will though need to show financial ability to live here.

If you plan to marry eachother some day and live in Denmarkit is importent with the new rules that you two spent as much time together in Denmark as possible since one of the rules for accepting that you can come to Denmark to live is that you as a couple are more affiliated to Denmark than to Colombia (that is not neccesary if your boyfriend have been a danish citicen for at least 28 years)

Other rules are: Need to have an apartment with at least 1 room pr. two persons and 20 sqm. pr. person, need a bank-guarantee of 54.000 DKK (app. 21 milion colombian pesos) for possible expences the government might have regarding you, both need to be more than 24 years old.

As you can see the rules are very strict now and under severe critique from many places. Unfortunately it does not seem that they are changing them anytime soon (comming 4 years) since the government behind it just got reelected.

I'm not trying to scare you but just to make you understand that it will take hard work to make the plan come true!
The one good thing that might come out of it is that it will make you much closer as a couple and if you can get through this barrier it is a good step in the right direction for you!
